Whitehorse Trail Construction Update

PHASE 3 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Phase 3 improvements will complete the gaps in the trail corridor and connect the Whitehorse Trail to the Centennial Trail. Work will include stabilizing the landslide at the west end of the trail, surfacing improvements to the first three miles of trail, and rerouting the trail around the bank failure near 435th Ave. If additional budget becomes available after addressing the gaps in the trail, additional user improvements may be included along the corridor, such as signage or trailhead improvements.

Construction starts October 5, 2026

Snohomish County Parks & Recreation has awarded the construction contract to Earthwork Solutions, LLC.
During construction the three-mile section of trail will be closed to the public between the Centennial Trail and Bridge 701.
Construction will take place October 5, 2026 to Spring 2027
