Storage Star Continues 2026 Growth with Acquisition in the Greater Augusta Area
SACRAMENTO, CA, UNITED STATES, August 24, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Storage Star has closed on three self-storage properties in the greater Augusta area, marking the company's latest move in a year of significant growth. The acquisition includes climate-controlled facilities in Augusta, Georgia – Storage Star’s first property in the state – along with two additional locations in Aiken and North Augusta, South Carolina.
The transaction builds on the momentum from earlier this year, when Storage Star added more than 60 self-storage facilities across 12 new states in its largest expansion to date. The newly acquired properties are high-quality, climate-controlled facilities well-suited to the region's residential and business storage needs.
"The greater Augusta area is exactly the kind of market we want to be in — strong community ties, steady growth, and a real mix of residential and business demand," said Matt Garibaldi, CEO of Storage Star. "Adding these facilities lets us serve that community with the same standard we bring everywhere else."
Storage Star is now integrating the properties into its operational platform, a process the company has refined across dozens of acquisitions this year. Each location will be upgraded with the same suite of tools Storage Star has rolled out nationwide, including online payments, contactless rentals, keyless entry, and 24/7 AI-powered virtual customer support — giving customers a faster, more convenient rental experience regardless of which Storage Star location they use.
"Our customers in Augusta, Aiken, and North Augusta can expect the same level of service we've built our name on," Garibaldi added. "That's what we bring to every new market."
